How did you get custom text on the drape ?

You could add that, whilst in FA (flood setting mode) there is an opportunity for the lighting person to manually ride the faders in real time. All 8 fixtures would have the same colour and you'd have to reset your flood settings afterwards. Still, a useful extra function.

If you want to easily add a lighting timeline to your existing midi backing tracks - use Anvil Studio (good software, cheap price). It makes adding in the program changes at the correct point in the song a doddle to do, really complex looking led RGB parcan lighting is simple to do. Or if you only want accurate timing of the light chase to the bass - just add a program change 103 at the start of the track for 'note on detection' and then a pattern number ie: program change 5 = pattern 5. (random parcans) Connect the Ryger Midi Pro & start the song and the lights will step in time with the music. If the note being tracked stops - the lights stop chasing. If the note increases tempo the lights will step faster in perfect time. Add a blackout - pattern 9 = program change 9 at the end of the song and the led parcans will instantly blackout. This is THE Ryger Midi Pro - This is RGB parcan control made EASY!

Thanks for this. I've been looking for a dmx controller that will use midi signals. For years I had a NJD mp820 which was great (and you could hold the lights at the end of a song), but in the world of LED lighting something else is needed.

Not enough text is in view at any one time to make freezing it an option, it needs to scroll across the drape. Also you cannot freeze a Chauvet Motion Drape or Facade, only the Showvision curtains can do this function via the DMX with a Ryger Vision 2 controller.

The Chauvet motion drape cannot be frozen on a pattern chase - only the Starvision Vision curtains can do that. Cost is £55 GBP plus postage if overseas per text created - you get one custom text & 29 original patterns on a new SD card. You then swap the internal SD card over - easy to do. Normally up to 3 characters are in view at any one time as it scrolls across so freezing the pattern is not needed because the text required is usually longer than this.

I can write text on to both size of cloth, the Facade has some characters that don't work so well with the amount of leds available so I have to look at what u want first. If u are using the Motion drape & facades with text it works best if the Chauvet box is controlled via the DMX with a RYGER Vision 2. U can then run the text for as long as u want & call it up when u want. Ryger Vision 2 is required if u want to connect multiple cloths together and control them easy. See starclothdesign.co.uk

Hello i like your Ryger Vision on the video i strongyle reprimand all dj's to have one of the best dmx controller to do good and fantastic lightshows on there disco's and bands but good for led lighting i ever seen. kind regards malc from russ entertainments

You have to use either a Ryger USB DMX controller or a Daslight DVC controller.

Hi, with the Daslight software, do you have to use a daslight usb controller or can i use any controller?

Thats just my curtain, it had a couple of leds that needed changing. With tri colour leds it makes up the other colours by colour mixing. If one of the primary colours on a pixel is duff then the colour mix will not show the correct tone on that led. Thats whats happening on the odd ones that look off. I didn't have time to change them before the video. If you want to see what can be done with these curtains - have a look at the 'Faringdon Folly Tower' video that I did.

We write the custom text pattern on to a new SD card. You cannot rewrite the text yourself. You select it when you want to use it. This is where the Ryger Vision 2 comes in handy because with it you can instantly access a pattern on the drape control box and run it for as long as you want.

The video demonstrates that the curtains are started up out of sync, just like how you would switch them on at a gig. Then when the Ryger Vision 2 changes a pattern they all resync. Everytime the Ryger Vision 2 does something different with the patterns it will automatically resync the curtains to keep them matching. If you watch the video it will show this happening.

These are excellent starcloths, Ryger recommends the Chauvet motion drape. Use it via DMX control with the Ryger Vision 2 controller for total control and multiple curtain capability.

This is done by creating a new internal SD card for the Chauvet Motion Drape controller and replaces one of the existing patterns.

I would if it was the DJ Teutoniks that you are thinking of - but it's not. It's the name of a DJ Teutonic in somewhere like mexico or brazil or something that requested his name on a cloth.

If your going to use Dj Teutoniks name, having sound would be a good thing... and the real Dj Teutonik spinning would be even better...!

@SuperPyro33 If you added it using the scanlibrary it will be there. Try the latest version of the daslight software. Check out the forums on daslights forums

where is my moving head light a cannot find it ????....

To make a daslight or a Ryger USB DMX Footlight sync with the music it has to remain connected to a laptop. The software syncs the sound to light NOT the hardware. You need the laptop microphone or line in enabled. Within the DVC2 software there is a BPM analyser icon. Select this, then all you need to do is take the settings off of AUTO and move the red line up or down on the spectrum display until you get the desired effect.

It triggers the Steps to BPM. or the Scenes to BPM You need to right click on the scene and instruct it what type of trigger you require. It is quite effective when using parcans etc. But sound to light on scanners and moving heads is a bit pointless, they will be doing odd things instead of your preprogrammed show. The only good & accurate way to sync a moving show with music is by using MIDI to trigger the steps. This is covered in the Daslight Forums.
